Vintage Tennis Fridays - Tretorns
Tretorns. If you're a girl who grew up during the 1980's, I bet you had at least 2 pairs, each with different colored logos. The classic, uber-preppy look of clean white canvas and that classic, "V" logo. I would like to go on record that I'm a fan of Tretorns and wish my size 13's wouldn't look so weird in them. OK...I know you don't see a lot of guys wearing these anymore...but Borg wore Tretorns during the early part of his career. You're saying, "Hey, Borg wore Diadoras!" You're right. But early on he wore Tretorns darn it, and I have the poster to prove it!
We mentioned last week about the preppy look being in fashion, so look for Tretorns to make a come back.
An interesting side note, I've included a pair of Tretorns that are much more fashion oriented. Maybe they're looking to take part in the classic turned designer trend going on.
