U.S. Open Racket Stringing Tech for Pros & Amateurs Alike

Top end stringers also sell their services to the rank and file players like you and me. Hmmm...seems interesting. But...I sure wish I believed an extra $100 to learn about my stringing would help my game as much as it does the pros. I'm just not convinced the amateur game is as nuanced as Federer's and Sharapova's. I think something like this is more a mental thing than a reality thing. So if it makes you feel more confident, go for it!

For amateur clients, who make up 60% of his business, Mr. Prokes says he tries to take on the role of a sommelier -- explaining the menu of adjustments (everything from changing string tension to altering the racket's length) and how they interact to affect the way a racket performs.
