Venus, Serena and Ana bring varied but classic styles to the US Open

Day/Night 1 of the Open didn't bring any surprises in results, except but the loss of Marcos Bagdahtis (but Max Mirnyi is no slouch). Nor were there any surprises in tennis fashion. The Williams sisters, both designers in their own right, looked great as usual. And Venus' new line of EleVen clothing merged a modern cut with a classic, almost retro look. The look reminded me of the clothes I saw in the 1970s, but certainly with a Williams' twist, especially in the green.

Serena in "Evening" Black w/ a cool pink bow (which she later tore off b/c it was bothering her)

Ivanovic in a more traditionally sporty adidas number.
