BRANDS FOR THE US OPEN WOMEN'S SEMI'S

Semifinal #1: Justine Henin vs. Venus Williams

This is basically the finals. Venus is stepping it up big time and Henin is, well, Henin...which is to say awesome. Henin made short work of Venus' sister Serena two nights ago, but Venus seems fitter and is serving very well. Henin is head to toe adidas and uses a Wilson racquet. Venus is sporting her well-designed, well-priced EleVen line and also uses a Wilson stick. Venus made a tennis fashion misstep in my opinion last night w/ the short-shorts, I prefer that top with a skirt. But its a nice line for sure.

What's All The Racquets Pick for the Match: Henin

What's All The Racquets Pick for the Equipment: Close call, but I'm going to go with Henin for a classic athletic look. It all depends on which EleVen outfit Venus chooses. Short-shorts, bad...classic tennis look, good.

Semifinal #2: Svetlana Kuznetsova vs. Anna Chakvetadze

Not only will this likely not be a very compelling match, the equipment's less exciting as well. Kuznetsova swings a Head stick and Fila clothes and shoes, while Chakvetadze sports a Fischer racquet, and adidas shoes and apparel.

What's All The Racquets Pick for the Match: Kuznetsova

What's All The Racquets Pick for the Equipment: Chakvetadze - better colors and better overall design. The Fila clothes leave a lot to be desired, and I don't get the high cut slit in the skirt.
