Anna Ivanovic drops Wilson, picks up Yonex sponsorship

Yonex, the Japanese racquet manufacturer, just signed Ana Ivanovic, Roland Garros runner up, world number four and tennis babe. Its a three-year deal, signed this past Friday. Its been awhile since Yonex has been in the top strata of tennis. The last big players to sport the Yonex brand were Martina Hingis and Lleyton Hewitt. Other pros currently on the Yonex bandwagon include: Elena Dementieva, Nicole Vaidisova, Maria Kirilenko, David Nalbandian and Hewitt.

Ivanovic play tested 36 Yonex racquets as she began her new sponsorship. Right now she's whittled the 36 down to two. When she finally makes her pick, Yonex will put that frame into production.
