17 Year Old Professional Tennis Player Kei Nishikori Signs Endorsement Agreement with Wilson

Wilson Racquet Sports, the world’s #1 brand in tennis, officially announces that ATP Pro Kei Nishikori has signed with Wilson. He will be playing with the [K] Tour 95 racket at all upcoming 2008 events. Nishikori, only 17, turned Pro on October 1, 2007. Nishikori’s agreement with Wilson includes rackets, tennis bags, strings, grips and other Wilson accessories.

A native of Shimane, Japan, Nishikori began playing tennis at the age of five. He moved to the US at age 13 where he resides in Bradenton, FL and trains at the IMG/Bollettieri Tennis Academy. He is represented by agent Olivier van Lindonk of IMG.
Nishikori has achieved impressive wins as a junior and won the Boys Doubles Title at the French Open in 2006. Playing highlights for 2007 include winning the Luxilon Cup held at the 2007 Sony Ericsson Open and being the youngest player since 1985 to reach the Quarter Finals at the ATP Indianapolis Championships in July. In addition, Kei reached the Finals of both the Challenger event in Carson, CA and the F8 Futures event in the US earlier this year.
Nishikori reached his career high ATP ranking of 250 on September 17, 2007. This is the third highest among Japanese players.
