Australian Open Begins + The Official Players Towel

Day 1 at Australian Open 2008, and defending champion Serena Williams is kicking things off, taking on Jarmila Gajdosova of Australia on Rod Laver Arena. No.3 Jelena Jankovic is first up on Vodafone Arena, against Tamira Paszek from Austria. Andy Roddick goes against Lukas Dlouhy after that on Vodafone.

The first night sessions on Rod Laver have Aussie Alicia Molik taking on Kaia Kanepi, followed by world No.2 Rafael Nadal against Viktor Troicki. Margaret Court Arena's night match has Carlos Moya and Stefan Koubek squaring off.
