Bälle de Mätch Gaining Momentum in Canada

Bälle de Mätch is making quite an impression in Canada. Just six months after announcing the brand will be represented and sold in the country, the tennis apparel line out of Southern California has become a partner with the Tennis Professionals Association (TPA), part of Tennis Canada, the governing body of tennis in Canada.

"Bälle de Mätch is just now setting up its sales and distribution network in Canada. What better way to give the brand credibility among teaching pros and retailers alike than to be associated with the teaching professionals in Canada," said Bälle de Mätch co-owner and partner John Embree. "Having TPA members wear our product will enhance our brand awareness with consumers, which will help drive sales at retail."

This two-year agreement that began in January 2007 gives the 1,600 members of TPA the opportunity to purchase Bälle de Mätch apparel on a preferred basis. Bälle de Mätch will offer special packages to the members, one of which includes a warm-up designed specifically for the TPA. Bälle de Mätch will display its apparel line at the TPA National Coaches Conference, March 1-2, in Toronto.

"It is great to be connected with such a quality company," said Hatem McDadi, Vice President of Tennis Development for Tennis Canada. "We look forward to building a long-lasting relationship with Bälle de Mätch."

Tennis Canada established the TPA in 2004 to provide support and services for certified instructors, coaches and club professionals. TPA offers its members numerous benefits, such as liability insurance, discounts on products and equipment, employment opportunities and educational resources. The main objective was to offer a member's only website in order to deliver up-to-the-date information on coaching related topics so all certified individuals have a central resource bank of information they can access 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Bälle de Mätch, founded in 1992, is a company of young, sports-minded individuals distinguished by their passion for extraordinary tennis wear. Bälle de Mätch has come a long way, but never strayed from the original mission of making comfortable, great-looking tennis apparel geared towards the avid and professional player.
