Bordentown, New Jersey and Hilversum, Netherlands - February 29, 2008 - Nike and Prince are proud to announce that Prince has been named the official racquet, tennis ball and string of the prestigious Nike Junior Tour (NJT) - a worldwide series of singles tournaments for boys' and girls' in the Under 12 and 14 age groups. The partnership will further showcase the mutual commitment of both brands to top junior tennis and tomorrow's superstars.

The NJT's marquee program is the International Masters event, which, every year, brings together the most elite Under-12 and Under-14 boys and girls from around the globe to compete, giving them the rare opportunity to make their mark on the international tennis scene. Past International Masters winners include Rafael Nadal (who won the event three times) and Carlos Boluda, the 14 year-old Spanish phenomenon who has also won the event three times.
"It is a great feeling to have a brand on board that is equally passionate about and attentive to junior players" said Nicolas Barthes, Nike's Global Tennis Sports Marketing Director. "Like Nike, Prince has helped cultivate many young players into stars of the game. They continue to put a tremendous emphasis on growing the game among this important group and the Nike Junior Tour is excited to have their help in giving young players around the world the chance to compete and raise their level of play."
As part of the agreement, Prince will be onsite at every NJT sponsored tournament and affiliated event providing fans and junior players the opportunity to experience and use Prince performance products.
"This is an extremely important and exciting partnership," said Linda Glassel, Vice President of Marketing and Brand Image at Prince. "Like the NJT, Prince is completely focused on cultivating tomorrow's superstars and providing players with the tools needed to play at the highest level of the game. Having the ability to introduce more of the world's best 12 and 14 year-old players to game-changing performance products such as O3 racquet technology is exciting. Some of the best players in the world, including our very own Shahar Peer got their start on the NJT and we are proud to have been chosen as the official partner and look forward to growing the relationship."
