Fila & Wallpaper Magazine Collaborate on Awesome Borg-inspired Polo

RTEmagicC_fila_wallpaper_1.jpg.jpgWhat happens when Fila and Wallpaper magazine get together? Magic, I tell you, magic!

This shirt is called 'Grandslam', and pays homage to Bjorn Borg.

When you look closely at the glyphs on the shirt, you see in very small print, the reveal the scores of each of Borg's championship matches. On the reverse are his runner-up results.

They also did a jacket, with the right sleeve was wrapped with the winning scores in gold, and the left sleeve with the silver runner-up scores.

Fila squeezes some lime into umpires' clothes

linesmen-fila-miami08.jpgAt the Sony Ericsson Open, Fila outfitted the umpires in sharp-looking lime green shirts. Funny note, Tennis Served Fresh accurately notes that Fila should make sure the clothes actually fit next year.

Check out Fila gear here.

Fila Alpha Wimbledon shoe

Just two days ago we posted about the Fila/Wimbledon partnership. Today, thanks to Tennis Served Fresh, we have learned about the Fila Alpha Wimbledon shoe and some new tidbits about the partnership. Some details about the partnership:

  • The hard court shoes will be worn by the ball crew, the court covers, and all staffers of the Wimbledon Shop. Line judges are not included in this group.
  • The grass court version of the shoe will be worn by all British players sponsored by Fila.
  • Since this is only a footwear license, Polo Ralph Lauren will continue to outfit all the officials and staff. From the looks of the shoe, the two companies' products will find a way to beautifully coexist for the fortnight.
