FRED PERRY TENNIS BALLS...EBAY ALERT! EBAY ALERT!

Vintage Fred Perry tennis balls in an unopened can. Can seems to be in pretty decent shape, a few dings here and there, but a very nice specimen. All metal can, holding three yellow balls.

Is the Fred Perry Tennis shirt a national icon?

A cool new site is letting the people rate what is and what is not a national icon for England. One such items up for vote is the Fred Perry Tennis Shirt.

A staple in the English wardrobe. Worn not only by tennis players but by just about every English subculture over the last forty years. A man in a Fred Perry shirt with the embroidered laurel leaf is nearly always English.

The one flaw in their program is, of course, that I'm a Yank. But I'm a big fan of the English, England, the Queen, and of course solid, classic tennis apparel. So I gave it a thumbs up. Give it a go.
